We have a handful of computers in our house. My Desktop, my wife’s Desktop, our media/backup server, and a netbook. The netbook’s job was relatively simple. It lived in the back room of our house hooked up to a couple of things: Our rarely-used printer/scanner, and my MakerBot 3D printer. Over the past few months I had contemplated getting a replacement for the netbook.

WWDC Keynote reflections
First off: No, I was not actually present at the keynote this morning. I was watching updates flow in through the news feed while at work. I wish I had been because it was a busy day.
Gadget FlashBack: The Apple Newton MessagePad
What can possibly more be said about the Newton, that hasn’t been said already? I’m not really sure, but something drove me to own one… actually, I owned a MessagePad 2100, and 5 eMate 300s.

But *my* phone already does that…
Me: “Hey Cool, iPhone OS 4 has multi-tasking in it”
iPhone Detractor: “[Android|Palm|WinMo] has had multi-tasking forever, iPhone is lame, and you suck.”
Or possibly:
iPhone detractor: “Apple fanboys are so thick-headed. They always talk about how awesome the iPhone is, but [Android|Palm|WinMo] has been doing since version x.x and it has feature y…(ad nauseum)”
