Home Server

Over the last several months, I’ve been messing around with a home server. I keep adding new services to it, trying to pry myself and my family out of the iron grip of big tech. This project is about what I’ve done and how.

Currently on my server I have the following:

  • Sparky Fitness for calorie counting and exercise tracking.
  • Immich for Photo storage
  • Jellyfin for Media
  • AudioBookshelf for Podcast and Audiobook hosting
  • A Mattermost setup for family chart
  • Mealie for Budgeting
  • Super Productivity for task management

All of this is run on a little Ubuntu Server running Docker. Each service gets containers to run in, and large amounts of data (like Movies and Photos) are mounted as a volume from the NAS.
