I decided that I wanted to make a modern laptop out of an old ibook G3 Clamshell. Yeah… that iBook. If you ask me why – I don’t really know. I think it’s kind of absurd, and other people think it’s kind of absurd – so why not.
My goal with this project is to replace the internal electronics of the iBook with a Raspberry Pi 500, and interface the keyboard, display, and trackpad with the 500. I am not planning on supporting use of the optical drive, but I do have an idea for how I’ll use the space.
